Emerald Lake is approximately 95 acres in size. The surrounding land offers abundant wildlife, such as deer, turkey, duck, geese and upland game birds. Anglers have been known to catch a variety of fish, including walleye,
pike, small and large mouth bass, perch and blue gill. Emerald Lake offers
all season activities, such as, hunting, fishing - both summer and winter, boating, swimming, hiking, snowmobiling and skiing. All areas have a spectacular view of the lake, some areas with rolling hills, others are heavily wooded.
Emerald Lake is conveniently located just two hours north of the Greater Detroit Area in Sherman Township, Iosco County, Michigan. The quiet beauty of Emerald Lake is located only 12 miles from Tawas City, on the shore of Lake Huron, which is famous for its festivals and special events.
Emerald Lake is located in close proximity to the Huron National Forest where you can find designated snowmobile and RV trails. Corsair Ski Trails provide cross country skiing on 110 miles of groomed trails in the winter and hiking in the summer. Close by, the famous AuSable River is a popular spot for canoes and fishing boats. Emerald Lake provides a rural setting in an unspoiled natural environment.
Emerald Lake is just a short trip up I-75 to US-23 at Standish. Travel US-23 toward Tawas to Alabaster Road, turn west and it will take you directly to Emerald Lake.
